Swaffham-based MTB (mountain bike) race team EHF Velopro have been preparing for what should be its biggest year so far.
Established in 2013, EHF Velopro have two racing seasons under their belts and are set to build on this in 2015, which will be its first year as an affiliated British Cycling team.
Its riders have been busy too. Last season a number achieved category promotions, namely Mel Paddington who has gained her Elite Licence, while others moved from both Sport and Masters into Expert.
Joining them are two new additions, and EHF will now compete across Elite, Expert, Sport, Veteran, Grand Veteran and Juvenile categories. A full rider line up will follow in the coming weeks.
Swaffham independent gym Everybody Health and Fitness (EHF) remain as headline co-sponsors alongside new signing Velopro. EHF provide the backing needed for British Cycling Affiliation and support to racers, with expert advice on movement quality, sports psychology, strength training in relation to endurance sports and sport specific programming.
Headline co-sponsor Velopro are a performance bike showroom and workshop in Bury St Edmunds; and will aid the team with all bike, nutrition, protection and maintenance needs.
Team director Ashley Kirk said: “With their added support we can continue to build our reputation and provide our racers with the backup they need to succeed.”
Both EHF’s and Velopro’s striking brands are reflected in a new kit design thanks to Sportful.
The team will also showcase the latest offerings from Giro Sport Design.
Velopro welcome back the Sufferfest cycling training videos after a successful partnership last year. KMC Chain Europe B.V. also stay on board offering their chains.
