Nathan Boughen (16) of West Lynn (pictured) is the new Norfolk Junior Snooker champion after defeating reigning champion Luke Pinches (Norwich) 2-1 in a close final hosted by Lynn’s Maltings Q Club.

This must be considered Boughen’s best win of his career to date, and should fill him with much confidence for the future.

Boughen defeated Rochy Woods (West Acre) 2-1 in the semi-finals, while Pinches beat Charlie Colk (Ludham) 2-0. Finlay Brown (Ludham) won the Plate event defeating Lynn’s Max Smith in the final 1-0.

Pinches won the Junior Billiards Championship defeating holder Woods 130(40 break)-127 in a close final. Colk and Boughen were the respective losing semi-finalists.Again Brown won the Plate event beating Smith again 65-50 in the final.

The day attracted no fewer than six new West Norfolk based players to their first KO event.
