Composite teams West Norfolk AC and Dereham AC travelled to Sandy in Bedfordshire for the second round of the Southern Athletics league.

With blustery conditions throughout the day the team managed a respectful fifth place to continue a mid-league table placing.

Logan Smith showed grit and determination in the 800m with an excellent second place in 2:06.7, also teaming up with Jake Stearman in the Steeplechase to win both A and B string races.

Luke Foster picked up vital points in the High Jump, Discus and Javelin throws.

Having a very competitive track season is James Greenhalgh who had picked up good points in the 100m, 400 Hurdles, Long and Triple Jumps.

Adrian Coote had a very busy day, competing in the 400m, 400 Hurdles, Shot putt, Hammer and Javelin.

Showing good form and clinching two second places Craig Brookes stormed the 100m and 200m despite the tough weather conditions.

League debutants Adam Dewdney and Nathan Protheroe competed well in a high level of competition. The 400m Hurdle expert Ashley Jarvis dominated the race in an impressive 64 seconds. Despite being injured, Emma Dewdney competed well in the shot, Discus and Javelin.
