The second Annual Megan’s Challenge Run took place on Sunday on minor roads and farm tracks around Gayton.

Conditions were cool, dry and a bit breezy for this mixed terrain run. The turnout was excellent with 49 entries for the mini fun run and 114 entered for the 10k.

Some 19 members of Ryston Runners AC supported the event with first place again going to Callum Stanforth.

Harry Fox, 12, had entered the mini run, but took a wrong turn and ended up on the 10k course. He finished in a very impressive 28th place in a time of 48:16.

When asked at what point did he realise he had gone wrong he said:, “When two men went past me and said they had been chasing me for four miles!”

So far the event has raised £3,105 for Norfolk Accident Rescue Service.
