Ziggys lost a bit of ground when the Pegg Scaffolding team of Wayne Mason, Martin Skipper and Peter Pegg inflicted a rare 5-4 defeat. It was a close game with Gary Hewitt, Allan Nicholls and Steve Barrett pushing Peggs all the way to the last game.

Graham and Craig Pack combined for two good wins for Wisbech Hawks but it was all in vain. Steve Goodale, Mike Crowson and Steve Mason led Wasps to a 7-2 win.

Despite the inclusion of Jimmy Brewster Wisbech Wizards ran out of magic against a solid Avengers team of Don Dixon, Martyn Allen and Richard Mussett.

The match between Wisbech and Heacham had five matches which went to the wire. Heacham’s James Patterson, Aaron Howell and Vaughan Parker held their nerve for a 5-4 win against Wisbech’s Jerry Irving, Mark Littlechild and Rob Rix.

The top of the table clash in Division One saw Runcton Holme just edge out Wasps ‘2’ thanks to John Mingay who was involved in all five wins with team mates Nick Osborne and Steve Bailey.

Ambit continue to dominate with a solid 8-1 win against Runcton B. Carol Parker and Clive Sandle managed a good win against Lewis Baldock and Graham Rogerson but Rob Rix remained unbeaten.

Peter Fysh, Keith Richardson and Peter Nunn had a fine 9-0 win against Blades to move off the bottom.

Pauls Driving School are still in with a shot at second place after a 7-2 win against Spin Doctors.

Mike Cooper and Graham Keeley were in fine form for Greenfingers and had good support from Gordon Penny in their 7-2 win at Heacham A.

The Leigh McDonald and David Woolley pairing picked up two wins for Heacham.
