Narborough beaten by league leaders




With just a fortnight to go in the 2018 season, a few promotion and relegation issues were decided in the Norfolk Cricket League, sponsored by Ashburnham Solicitors.

St Andrews stayed top of the pile with a comfortable win over Narborough.

Louis Bellchamber cracked 122 and Yadesh Kailainathan 67 for St Andrews as they posted a big score of 290.

Narborough hit 219 in reply, Jimmy Grass scoring 56.

In Two West, Castle Acre condemned Great Ellingham to relegation.

Sandringham A climbed out of the drop zone with Sid Dobing’s 148 not out and Damon Hudson’s 4-14 ensuring their victory while Beeston slipped up at Gooderstone.

Snettisham A cemented their position at the top of Three West and Thornham moved second, Kevin Williamson taking 4-24 as they beat relegated Dersingham, despite the efforts of Delme Lewis (4-20) and Shaun Felgate (54).

Matt Footman hit 99 not out and Calum Crome-Russell an unbeaten 50 as Castle Rising overtook Swaffham’s 173 by 10 wickets.

Four West sees Heacham and Boughton in first and second respectively, although the latter lost ground after slipping up at Bircham A.
