Dersingham maintains lead at top of the North West Norfolk League

Dersingham A started 2025 with a 4-0 victory away to West Winch to stay on top of Division One of the North West Norfolk League.

A tight start to the game and not great quality saw the team go into the break goalless.

Zack Kingshott arrived off the bench to open the scoring early in the second half.

This was sharply followed by Sonny Devlin, with some unselfish play, to give Nathan Mitchell a tap for 2-0.

Kingshott was at it again to set up Mitchell for his second of the game 3-0 before sealing the points by completing his treble to make it 4-0.

There were some good performances from several Dersingham players in the second half, the Deadman trio for instance, but Dersingham's Man of the Match, for putting in a first-class performance, was Tom Wicklen

West Winch voted for, the energetic, Kaye Kastas as their Man of the Match.

Both goalkeepers played well, Winch's being the busier, but a special mention to Dersinham's stand-in goalkeeper, Kieran O’Grady, for making some big saves in the net to keep a clean sheet.
