King's Lynn complete loan signing ahead of National League visit of Dagenham and Redbridge

King's Lynn Town are preparing to welcome the BT Sport cameras to The Walks on Saturday.

The Linnets have brought in attacking midfielder Zain Walker on a month's youth loan from League Two Bristol Rovers.

The 19-year-old midfielder has made 11 league appearances (four starts) for Rovers having made his debut in Leasing.Com Trophy in November 2018.

His EFL league debut came in September 2020 and his league first start for the Gas came in March 2021.

Born in Wandsworth, Walker started his career with Fulham, joining Rovers' Academy at the age of 16.

"I think this lad we've got in is a real player and he arrives here very highly-rated," said Back.

Walker, who was due to train with his new team-mates this morning, is an attacking player who likes to take defenders on, typically on the left-wing coming in on his right foot, but can play either side or centrally.

Lynn are still hoping to add another striker to their squad with Swiss frontman Gold Omotayo out with ankle ligament damage and likely to be sidelined for several weeks.

"I know we've got Junior (Morias) back but now we've lost Gold," admitted back.

"We'd love to bring another striker in but it all comes down to money and we can't keep expecting the chairman to splash out.

"We might have Cameron King back in a couple of weeks too, so if that's the case it will be like signing another player."

Saturday sees league leaders Dagenham and Redbridge at The Walks (5.20pm) in front of the BT Sport cameras.

Including their form at the end of last season, the Daggers have only lost once in 14 league games and Back said: "It would be fantastic to see a big crowd on Saturday with it being the first live TV game in front of fans since we played Oldham 15 years ago.

"The lads deserve a big gate and it's another massive game for us."
