Rising West Norfolk banger driver scoops junior award
Rising banger racing star Lenny Murkin is following in his family’s footsteps.
Taking to the track like both his dad and grandad, Murkin was recently named as junior banger driver of the year.
The successful teenager also picked up a trophy for finishing third in the National points.
The Downham Academy pupil, 14, has been racing since the age of 10.
As well as competing at the Adrian Flux Arena at Lynn, the Outwell-based youngster has also travelled to Swaffham, Skegness, Aldershot, Birmingham, Stoke and Scotland to compete.
Murkin’s passion has always been racing, with it being in his blood through his dad and grandad.
Lenny has already won many trophies and has his eyes on more as he continues to make his mark in the sport.
