More news, no ads

After a difficult start to the Thurlow Nunn League Premier season, the Swaffham Town squad are starting to gel but points remain elusive, losing 2-1 at home to Ely City.

In a fairly balanced first half, Alfie Brindle was denied at the near post by the Ely keeper. The Pedlars were caught napping and conceded in the opening minute of the second half. Five minutes later came a well-worked second goal. In the 66th minute, Blake Davies played James Karanicolas through to slot home into the bottom left-hand corner. MoM Dan Smith in goal made some vital saves.
