It’s as you were for Downham Town, Fakenham Town, Heacham and Swaffham Town in the Thurlow Nunn League for 2024/25

Swaffham Town will remain at Step 6 of the non-league pyramid next season after being spared relegation.

The Pedlars, who finished 19th in the Thurlow Nunn First Division North standings, had the good news confirmed on Friday.

West Norfolk's four senior football teams will be playing their games in the same leagues they were in this season after 2024/25 allocations were released by the Football Association.

There will still be Step 6 football at Shoemakers Lane next season after Swaffham Town were spared relegation on Friday

This means that Step 5 clubs Fakenham, Downham Town and Heacham will stay in the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division, while Swaffham Town will remain in the level below of the Eastern Counties League.

Dersingham Rovers will also be back in senior football next season having won promotion to Division One of the Anglian Combination (Step 8 of the pyramid).

The news was the icing on top of the cake for the Pedlars, whose A Team won the Central and South Norfolk Pease League Cup at the weekend.

A well-supported crowd at the Football Development Centre, Bowthorpe saw the Pedlars go one up in the first half through a well-worked goal clinically executed by Blake Stangroome.

It was capped by a second-half hat-trick by the club's leading goal-scorer Harry Exley to seal a 4-3 derby against Sporle Athletic.

The cup winners returned to Swaffham for the adult presentation and also received their division runners-up medals to cap an excellent campaign.
