Under-16 Mid Norfolk League outfit beat Swaffham 6-1 in cup final

Reffley under-16s played their last game together as a team at Heacham on Sunday.

And the club's most senior youth side signed off in great style by defeating Swaffham 6-1 to win the Mid Norfolk League Cup final.

The victory made them double winners for a second consecutive year, winning both the league and the cup.

Goals from Joe Taylor (2), Alex Smith, Olly Witting and Todd Lembutis clinched victory.

For a number of lads, Sam Lammiman, Bailey Took, Kyle Wells, Marley Carter, Ethan Shread, Cameron Hazle, this marked the end of an era having played in the same team for ten years, while other members of the squad put in a number of year's long service too.

After completing back-to-back doubles, proud coach Iain Wells commented: "Great bunch of lads who deserve everything they have worked for and to finish on a high.

"I've enjoyed running the team and I am sure I will miss it terribly.”
