LEARN MORESwaffham Town Football Club have accepted the resignation of manager Greg Dimsey.
In a statement released a short while ago, the club said: "It is with regret Swaffham Town Football Club have accepted Greg Dimsey's resignation as first team manager.
"Swaffham Town Football Club would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Greg during his year with the club.
"On behalf of the committee, club members and support staff, we wish Greg the very best of luck going forward.
"The club are currently in the process of appointing a new first team manager with an announcement expected in due course."
Dimsey took over in the hot seat at the MG Building and Maintenance Stadium last summer with Johnny Alflatt assisting him in the dugout.
Despite their best efforts, they were unable to prevent the Pedlars from being relegated from the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division after only securing three league wins during the campaign.
Alflatt is favourite to take over reins following Dimsey's departure from the club.
Next season, Swaffham Town will face derbies against the likes of Downham Town and Heacham in the First Division North.
