Former Belle Vue ace ready to roll back the years as he returns to King's Lynn in Premiership
Richie Worrall is rolling back the years by returning to King’s Lynn.
Worrall has left Belle Vue to make the switch to the Adrian Flux Arena where he will start the season at reserve.
He previously raced for the club in 2013 but now, nine years later, he’s ready to return and step up his performance levels as part of a new-look Minors and Brady Stars side.
The St Helens racer made 21 appearances that year and notched 145 points, 20 bonus points and averaged 5.74.
He said: “I’m very excited to be joining King’s Lynn, truth be told it’s actually a club I have wanted to get back to for a number of years now, having previously ridden for them in 2013 and felt the place overall suited me quite well.
“I always seem to score well there, looking at the two visits this year I was up in double figures both times.”
Worrall scored 8+2 and 9+1 in his visits with Belle Vue this year to underline his liking for the Lynn track.
And he says starting at reserve means the Stars are going to have plemty of strength in depth – similar to champions Peterborough last season.
“Starting out at reserve is definitely a great position for the team to be in,” he said.
“I go up someone good comes down. It’s a similar team structure to Peterborough which obviously worked well for them!”
