West Norfolk youngsters 'pitch up and play' in non-contact variation of game
Rugby returned to West Norfolk over the weekend as the club invited new and returning players to 'pitch up and play' an exciting, non-contact variation of the game.
Saturday saw more than 70 senior men, ladies and under-18 boys/girls play against each other and the day was a great success.
Everyone embraced the revised rules and it was great to get out and enjoy a day of competitive matches.
Sunday welcomed the return of the minis and youth sections to Gatehouse Lane.
Vicki Hopps, chair of minis and youths, said: "It was fantastic to see so many young people at the club.
"There were lots of familiar faces and many new boys and girls turning up for the first time.
"It's great that mini and youth rugby is going from strength to strength and we look forward to an exciting season ahead."
Training continues across all sections at West Norfolk and we always welcome new players to join.
Girls' rugby also returned on Wednesday evening with under-13 to 18-year-olds training between 6 and 7pm.
