Last weekend was the designated date for County Cross-Country Championships across England, and Norfolk was no exception, with its event taking place over a newly designated course at Earlham Park, in Norwich.

A small contingent of Ryston Runners took part, bringing home two silver medals between them.

These came in the seniors/masters event, both in the 35-39 category, courtesy of Ben Keeley and Dawn Robinson.

On the same day, after a month’s layoff due to bronchitis, Cath Duhig dipped her toe back in the race waters by taking part in a local charity event, the Carrer del Niño in Santiago de la Ribera, Spain.

Duhig walked in the 5k running race, and finished 201st out of 232/first F70, despite being overtaken in the last kilometre by the first four runners in the accompanying 10k.
