King's Lynn Golf Club hosts Seniors' Open
Lynn Golf Club hosted their annual Seniors' Open on Monday.
The weather started off cloudy and wet but the sun shone in the afternoon. As usual, the event was popular with 80 players representing 35 different clubs from all over the country but the honours mostly went to the local golfers.
The 18-hole stableford competition was played off the white tees and the competitors found the course challenging with only two scoring par (36 points).
The overall winner was Phil Hacking, from Royal Cromer Golf Club with a score of 36 points on countback.
He beat Tony Gurney-Read, also from Royal Cromer GC, who was the winner of Division A (0-12 handicap), with a score of 36 points.
The winner of Division B (13-24 handicap) was Chris Adams, from Hale Golf Club in Cheshire, with a score of 33 points.
In his speech, Phil Hacking complimented the event, the catering and the course.
