Captain nets brace in convincing away win




Five-star Swaffham Town maintained the pressure on both Harleston Town and Mulbarton Wanderers at the top of Thurlow Nunn Division One North.

The Pedlars moved up to third in the league standings thanks to a convincing 5-1 victory over Leiston Reserves.

A brace from skipper Alex Vincent led the way with Dan Tindall, Joe Jackson and Aidan Sewell also on target for Paul Hunt's side.

Downham Town began life under the new managerial team of Craig Dickson and Dale Stokes with victory against Debenham LC at the Memorial Field.

The visitors took the lead before goals from Ben Baxter-Hunt, Isaac Bloodworth and Matthew Calvert wrapped up a 3-1 victory for the hosts.

Two goals for Aaron Turner and a Kelvin Enaro strike saw Lakenheath beat King's Lynn Town Reserves 3-2 at The Pit.

On Friday night, Fakenham Town's eight-match unbeaten run came crashing to an end after they crashed to a 3-0 defeat against high-flying Mulbarton Wanderers at Clipbush Park.
