Snettisham Honda racer Phil Wright grabs second 2019 podium at Anglesey in Disklok Civic Cup

Honda racer Phil Wright from Snettisham continued his campaign at the beautiful coastal circuit of Anglesey at the third meeting of the 2019 Disklok Civic Cup.

The very wet weather conditions for Friday testing proved difficult for setting up the car, and several different set-ups were used to get things just right.

During qualifying early on Sunday morning the sun came out to dry the track, helping Wright to secure seventh place on the grid.

With a lightning start for race one Wright pushed through to third and his second podium of the year by the time he crossed the line.

A reverse grid for race two put Phil in 8th for the start. Despite a well fought race Wright slipped back to 9th by the end of the race. Phil now ranks seventh with drop scores in a field of 29 competitors.

Phil’s next round is at Croft in North Yorkshire on the weekend of July 6.

Phil is supported by Luke Loades of Rounce and Evans Property Management, and Shaun Hagen of Shaun Hagen Motor Services.
