King’s Lynn parkrun attracts more than 400 participants for latest race in The Walks

Speed and sunshine were in equal supply at The Walks on Saturday, as 428 runners and walkers took part in Lynn parkrun on a sunny morning.

Leading the field with a blistering personal best of 16:32 was Charlie Frammingham, claiming first place in impressive style.

Hot on his heels in the women’s category was Grace Buchanan, a visitor from Blickling and member of North Norfolk AC, who crossed the line in a remarkable 17:58.

Among the standout performances, Jane Ashby delivered a masterclass in consistency, topping the age-graded leaderboard with an exceptional 99.08%, reaffirming her legendary status at the event.

There was much to celebrate across the field.

Richard Corby completed his 100th parkrun and Tracie Reynolds reached her 150th milestone—both applauded by fellow participants and volunteers.

The event also welcomed 60 first-timers, including 28 newcomers to parkrun and 32 tourists experiencing King’s Lynn for the first time.

Whether visiting the town or travelling especially for the run, their presence added a fresh buzz to the morning.

Behind the scenes, a team of 30 volunteers made the event possible.

With National Volunteer Week beginning Monday, organisers reminded everyone of the vital role these individuals play.

Since its inception, King’s Lynn parkrun has seen 12,982 separate volunteering contributions, each one helping to ensure the event’s continued success.

Lynn parkrun is a free, weekly, timed 5k for all ages and abilities.
