Lynn finished 48-42 down at the Robins in first away leg
King’s Lynn Stars speedway team need a magnificent seven-point winning tally on Monday at home to Swindon in order to reach the Premiership Knockout Cup final.
Lynn finished 48-42 down at the Robins last Monday in the semi-final, first away leg.
It means if Lynn’s seven riders score just one point more than each of their opposite number their dreams of a league and cup double will be kept alive.
But it could just be six home bikes with the option of rider replacement as the Stars wait on the fitness of vice-captain Ty Proctor, who has missed the last couple of meetings due to injury.
Lynn’s Thomas Jorgensen said: “Swindon is a pretty good track. It’s big. You have to attack it and race it hard. It’s pretty slick.
“Last year we went there and were really close to winning.”
The 26-year-old is both busy and in-form, adding: “I have just been riding at Peterborough on Saturday and got paid 12. I just messed up a few heats; just the wrong set-up. I managed to get it going, so it wasn’t too bad.”
“I think I’m having a few more rides for Peterborough, hopefully.
“I’ve been at Redcar on Friday, and Workington on Sunday, and I managed to do well in that.”
The Tru Plant Stars will be offering Adrian Flux Arena fans next Monday the chance to watch three semi-final races from the infield for £5 (no concessions) on top of their admission fee.
Tickets will be available at the programme sales stand inside the turnstiles and will be limited to 30 people per session.
You can choose, subject to availability, from the following sessions – Heats: 4-6, 7-9, 10-12 and 13-15.
Terms and conditions will apply, and you will be required to complete a disclaimer before entering the centre of the track.
After the other semi-final first leg, Somerset have a 52-38 advantage over Belle Vue with Jake Allen scoring 15+2 for the hosting Rebels.
The two sides clash again in the Manchester second leg on Wednesday.
