King's Lynn racer flying the flag for his country against USA and Latvia
King's Lynn racer Jan Kvech goes into FIM Speedway of Nations action for his country at Belle Vue on Wednesday.
The Czech charger has made a massive impression since joining the PSH Environmental Stars last month, becoming an instant crowd favourite at the Adrian Flux Arena.
Now he turns his attention to national matters, as he teams up with former Lynn rider Vaclav Milik and talented youngster Adam Bubba Bednar in a bid to reach the SON Final.
Wednesday’s meeting features two of the big-hitting nations in Australia and Denmark, but with three Final places available it could turn into a battle between the Czechs, the USA and Latvia.
Kvech said: “We have a chance of going to the Final. We are going there because we want to go to the Final, and I think we have a good team so hopefully we will do it.
“I have been to Belle Vue in the Speedway of Nations (in 2018), it’s a long time not being there, but I think it is a more similar track to what we have in Czech or Poland.
“We are ready to go there and hopefully go to the Final.”
Kvech will be back in the Stars’ line-up for their big home clash with Leicester on Monday July 15, which is followed up by a trip to Sheffield on July 18.
