King's Lynn Stars boss wants his side to extend 100 per cent home record at home to Ipswich

Team manager Alex Brady wants to extend King’s Lynn Stars’ 100 per cent home record in order to give themselves the best chance of reaching the Premiership title-deciding end of season play-offs.

Lynn host Ipswich tonight.

With every side either having ridden five or six meetings before last night (Monday), the table is beginning to settle and indications are forming about how teams ultimately will fare – barring a rash of injuries and inspired team changes, of course.

Peterborough are still without a league point from five outings so one can assume they face a season of struggle. Lynn have beaten their A47 rivals in league and cup so boss Brady and his troops will feel the Panthers are destined for one of the bottom two positions.

Only four points separate Ipswich who are top and the Stars who are in fifth but Lynn have defeated Ipswich twice at home and once away already during 2022 so they believe they can finish above the Witches.

Brady, pictured above, said: “With this league only having six teams we only need in theory to finish above two to make those play-offs which is obviously crucial.

“So if we can beat teams home and away and, as you say, keep them below us, that’s the intention.

“Where that takes us in the season, we’ll see but that’s the intention.

“If you beat one of these teams home and away in this league which is very competitive then it does take them out of the equation for a short time.

“So you can stretch your legs slightly and hopefully you can pull away from a few of these teams and give ourselves a bit of a cushion going into that all-important September and October time when it all really counts.”
