Boss Brady urges King’s Lynn Stars speedway fans to cheer Josh Pickering and Richard Lawson at Peterborough in Premiership Pairs opener on Monday

Boss Alex Brady is urging King’s Lynn Stars fans to make the short trip to Peterborough on Monday to cheer on his duo in the Premiership Pairs.

Lynn have named Josh Pickering and Richard Lawson as their pairing for the first round of the Premiership Pairs at local rivals Peterborough, with Jack Thomas in the Rising Star berth.

Team manager Brady said: "We're lucky to have some strong riders to pick from, so we've gone with Josh Pickering and Richard Lawson.

"It's an interesting concept because you get to pick gate positions for every heat.

"We get to pick if Josh goes off 4 or Rich off 2, or vice versa. It's a really good idea, extra meetings for everybody as well, and we're going there to win on Monday.

"We'd love to have as many of our fans there as we can. If you can't make it, it's on the British Speedway network, £49 for all six rounds with a slight discount if you're already registered to do that.

"If as many of you can make it as you can, it does make a difference to these guys, for sure."
