Stock car racing returns to King’s Lynn this Saturday
Stock car racing returns to Lynn this Saturday (5pm) where the BriSCA F1 cars will begin their national campaign following the F2 Stock Cars and 2L cars starting their national seasons at Lynn a fortnight ago.
The 2L stock cars are also back in action with the BriSCA MiniStox making their only 2024 appearance at Lynn.
Since the retirement of Willie Skoyles there are not many local drivers in the F1 Stock Cars and with Lewis Galer not yet ready to start his 2024 campaign it will be down to Norwich’s Matt Newson and Casey Englestone to provide something for some Norfolk cheers.
West Norfolk fans will be pleased though to have some drivers closer to home in action in the 2L Stock Cars.
Austen Freestone was in fantastic form at the season opener a fortnight ago when he was duelling at the head of affairs in the meeting final – leading the race until a couple of laps to go and he still came home in a great fourth place.
Kegan Sampson will be entering the meeting full of confidence after picking up his first victory of the season at Mildenhall last weekend and he will be looking to take that form into this Saturday’s event. Livewire Levi List is always in the thick of the action and Hunstanton’s Chris Masters continues to impress on every outing on the loose since starting to race on shale – will Saturday be the day for his first shale victory in a 2L Stock Car?
Completing the action are the MiniStox who will be making their sole 2024 appearance at King’s Lynn.
