King's Lynn Town striker Michael Gash extends his stay at The Walks

Michael Gash has agreed a new contract with National League North outfit King's Lynn Town.

The striker arrived at The Walks in the summer of 2017 following his release by League Two Barnet.

Gash has scored 36 goals in 130 appearances for Lynn and is probably best remembered for his dramatic extra-time winner against Warrington in the Super Play-off last May.

Linnets director of football Robbie Back is full of praise for the impact Gash has had at the club.

A delighted Back said: "Michael Gash has played a pivotal role in everything we have achieved in the last three years.

"It's not only about the goals he brings to the team, it's all the other aspects like his hold up play, his tracking back and being a general nuisance to the opposition.

"He is an absolute warrior and it is great to have him on board again for another season."

The popular frontman has been so often the foil for fellow striker Adam Marriott and the partnership has struck fear in National League North defences and beyond over the past three seasons.

The Peterborough-based frontman has has played for a host of clubs during his career, including Cambridge United, Kidderminster Harriers, Ebbsfleet and York City.
