Teenage speedway sensation Robert Lambert is on his way back to the Adrian Flux Arena in 2016 after agreeing a return to the King’s Lynn Stars team for next year’s Elite League season.
The 17-year-old, who now has two full seasons under his belt in the Elite League, was one of the few positives the Stars management could take from last season.
Lambert improved on his debut season in 2014 with a number of impressive displays while racing for the Norfolk side last term.
Born in Norwich, Lambert processed through the ranks at the club’s National League side two years ago, to finish second highest in the teams averages last season.
The signing of Lambert begins team building for the Stars top five and club owner Buster Chapman admits that he is pleased to start building process with a local talent.
Said Chapman: “There is no doubt that Robert has what it takes to be a top rider in the sport and we are delighted he is coming back to ride for us.
“He ended last season as our second highest averaged rider behind Niels and I am sure he will continue to progress even further next year.
“Robert is an entertainer and that’s what the supporters love to see every week. We want to have a team next year that will give the fans exciting action every week and he will play a part in that with his ruthless style and determination to win.”
Lambert is in search of sponsors for the 2016 season - if any local or national business would be interested in supporting him, please contact the club and they can put you in touch.
