KES pupil takes full house at Stretton in Leicestershire
Aaron Alexander and his karting team raced in Round 6 of the SCSS 200 Honda Cadet Extreme Kart Championship last weekend at Stretton in Leicestershire.
Testing on Saturday paid off again with the team finding the perfect set-up for Sunday’s race day.
Qualifying was very close on Sunday morning, but Aaron managed to get the pole position and he then went on to win all his three heats, while nobody could catch him.
The final saw some close racing with Calan Lamont on Aaron’s bumper for the full 15 laps. The King Edward VII Academy pupil crossed the line for the chequered flag, the number 1 podium spot and the full house once again.
The team will be racing again at Rowrah in Round 4 of the Cumbria Championship next weekend which they are also leading.
Aaron and the team are in need of more sponsors, if you can help them please contact through the website. www.aaracing.co.uk
n Snettisham’s Phil Wright had two recent race meetings, qualifying second for both races at Silverstone over the weekend of August 19. Wright secured a second spot and a win, the latter by passing the second place competitor on the first corner.
At Donington Park last weekend, Wright secured the perfect result with pole position for both races, top step of the podium for both races and fastest lap for good measure. Wright now ranks second in Class B of the 2018 750 Motor Club Royal Purple Hot Hatch Championship.
Phil is action again next at his home circuit of Snetterton, Norfolk, over the weekend of October 6/7.
Phil is supported by Luke Loades of Rounce and Evans Property Management, and Shaun Hagen of Shaun Hagen Motor Services. Thanks also go to Selina Automotive, All Signs and The Anglia Tool Centre.
