Terrington Tigers defeat Sprowston to reach County Cup showpiece




Terrington Tigers U12 girls progressed to the County Cup final after an excellent 2-1 win over their counterparts from Sprowston on Saturday morning.

The game was a great battle from start to finish, with the Tigers hitting the bar and post several times.

Sprowston were unable to penetrate through Tigers’ defence as the score remained goalless going into half-time.

The second half saw Tigers come out of the traps quickly, creating several chances.

Mia Choppen whipped in a superb corner for Alise Senina to score an absolute bullet header.

Tigers continued on the charge, coming straight out the blocks again with Laila Ringer slotting home a well-taken goal.

The Human sisters, Ava and Ella, took control at the back and Keelee Wright worked her socks off on the wing.

Sprowston refused to give up to score a consolation goal in the dying minutes.

Terrington Tigers will travel to Norwich for the final on May 5.
