Tonight’s meeting between Belle Vue and Lynn Stars called off
Tonight’s meeting between Belle Vue and Lynn Stars has been called off because of forecasted substantial rainfall and strong winds during the race time period in Manchester.
The re-stage date is provisionally set for May 20.
The PSH Environmental Stars were due to visit the National Speedway Stadium four nights after being defeated by the Aces in their home opener, losing out 48-42 in a last-heat decider.
The Stars are next in action at Sheffield on Thursday in the first of back-to-back clashes with the defending champions.
Lynn manager Rob Lyon said: “It’s very early days, and at the moment it’s hard to gauge whether Thursday was a bad result for us or a decent one for them.
“All the meetings are tough and we’ve got Sheffield this week, but we do need to turn our form around to start getting some wins on the board.
“Having the riders starting to race more regularly now is going to help, and our meetings are coming thick and fast as well.
“It’s starting to get some consistency in the meetings, and hopefully we will see an upturn in form.”
