King’s Lynn club raises funds for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) at Old Hunstanton

In a heartwarming display of community spirit and support for local life-saving services, members of the King's Lynn Triathlon Club presented a cheque for £500 to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) at Old Hunstanton.

The donation is a result of the funds raised during the club's highly anticipated Sunny Hunny Triathlon held in May 2024, an event that quickly sold out due to its popularity

Chris Playford, a representative of the Kings Lynn Triathlon Club, alongside fellow club members, conveyed their gratitude to the RNLI, an organisation renowned for its critical role in providing life-saving services along the picturesque yet sometimes perilous Norfolk coast.

The RNLI relies heavily on donations, and the timing of this contribution is particularly significant as the summer season approaches, a time when the lifeguard service is in high demand.

The £500 donation will help ensure that the RNLI can continue its vital operations, including maintaining lifeboats, conducting training for crews, and ensuring that safety equipment is always at the ready.

This donation is a reflection of the collective effort of everyone involved—the athletes who challenged themselves, the volunteers who dedicated their time, and the local businesses that supported the event.

Keep a look out for sunny hunny tri 2025.
