King’s Lynn boss demands a big home performance against Farsley Celtic in the National League North
King's Lynn Town owe their supporters a performance against Farsley Celtic this weekend, manager Adam Lakeland has insisted.
The Linnets have given themselves a fighting chance of avoiding the drop in the National League North after making it back-to-back wins by beating Brackley Town in midweek.
They remain in the bottom four of the table, level on points with Rushall Olympic who have a better goal difference in 20th.
Lynn's form at the Walks has deserted them this season and the last win in front of their home faithful came when they toppled big-spending Scunthorpe United last November.
It has been more than three months since that memorable night - one of only three wins on home soil this term - and Lynn's chief now wants to repay the fans with a showing of the same ilk.
Lakeland said: "We'll just prepare like we do for every game. It doesn't matter how we approach it, we go into every game looking to win it.
"Frasley Celtic will be another difficult game but it will be good to get back to the Walks and we owe our supporters a really big home performance.
"Hopefully going into it off the back of back-to-back wins on the road there will be a few more there supporting the team on Saturday.
"The supporters were fantastic. Good numbers travelled across here, for us to give them three points on the road again, we need to give them three points at home.
"We've seen again, as we have on numerous occasions but certainly tonight, if we put in performances like that where we are fully committed they will get behind us, so hopefully we can do the same on Saturday and give them another big home performance."
The Linnets will now travel to Alfreton for a rearranged league game on Tuesday night after the original fixture fell foul of a waterlogged pitch last weekend.
