Sunday morning started with qualifying where Alexander managed to secure second place on the grid to start his heats.

The youngster dropped to third on the first lap of his opening outing, but he managed to get back to the front and won both of his heats.

After successfully winning both of his heats, the King Edward VII Academy pupil started from pole position for the final.

Alexander got the rolling start perfect and held the overall lead from the drop of the flag.

He crossed the finishing line for the chequered flag with both arms in the air after winning the big 2018 0 Plate crown.

Alexander thanks his dad, his racing team and all of his family, friends and sponsors for their continued support throughout a busy season.

Sponsorship is still needed to finish his racing campaign, which is likely to end with more silverware.
