West Norfolk race ace crowned double Honda Extreme Junior Pro Kart 2019 champion
West Norfolk karting sensation Aaron Alexander has fulfilled his dream of being crowned double champion in 2019.
The teenager and his AA Racing team concluded a very good race season by clinching the Junior Pro Kart Championship at Teesside.
His latest success at the Teesside Autodrome, came hot on the heels after winning the Shennington Junior Extreme Pro Kart champion.
After winning all the Cadet Extreme championships last season, Alexander is now the Double Honda Extreme Junior Pro Kart 2019 champion.
Sunday morning saw round nine of the championship.
Having already been crowned champion, Alexander decided to go out in qualifying and just do one slow lap then come back into the pits so he could start from the back of the grid.
Alexander managed to keep getting through the traffic in each of his heats and the final saw him cross the line for the chequered flag in second place, right on the bumper of the winner.
All the action from the weekend can be found on YouTube (Teesside Karting live)
Fellow team members Catherine Potter, who Aaron and Adam have been training all year, managed to finish second in the cadets while Tomas Potter won the Bambino championship.
The King Edward VII Academy pupil will be presented with his Teesside Championship trophy at Darlington Football Club on Saturday, November 23, and also at Silverstone (Kart Mania) on Saturday, November 30, for his Shennington championship win
Thanks go to sponsors 24/7 self-store, Lynn, AX Supercars, Lettingsupermarket, Howdens Joinery and MKM Kings Lynn.
Hopefully they will be on board for the next race seasons starting in December (winter series at three different circuits).
Alexander now needs sponsors to come forward and help him to set up for the next championship.
