King's Lynn league hands out monthly awards for pre-lockdown season
The Narbeck Boys Billiards League, which continues to go from strength-to-strength, has made its player if the month awards for its pre lockdown season.
Danny Overson, of Great Massingham, won the August award for hitting a great new personal high break of 37, while Matthew Boughen of West Acre scooped the September accolade after making a fine 35 break.
October’s award went to West Acre’s Joshua Boughen, 9, for increasing his highest break to a creditable 14.
In November, another West Acre player John Crisp was the winner and December saw Lynn Maltings Q Club’s Jamie High claim the monthly honours.
The league’s coaching group will recommence at West Acre on Monday, April 12, with coaching taking place from 4pm to 7pm, and on Wednesday’s between 4pm and 6pm.
Since the league's formation back in 1998, they have introduced more than 300 junior players to English Billiards.
Anybody wishing to join the group, which teaches snooker and billiards to boys and girls aged between 8 and 16 should message the Norfolk Snooker Academy on Facebook, or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
