West Norfolk Renegade Runners tackle Ferry Meadows, Marham and Hethel Lotus circuit races
Another busy week of running for Renegade Runners.
Last Wednesday night at the first of the Peterborough 5k series Lisa Pyatt was 6th F40 at Ferry Meadows on a warm night in 22:39.
On Friday evening in the first race of its kind Lola Kidman and Jonny Cockerill took to the Lotus car test circuit at Hethel.
Lola had another fabulous run in the 2.5k race finishing second in age and third girl overall in 10:08. Jonny ran a creditable 46:10 in the 10k.
On Saturday Karl Baxter started the ‘last man standing ultra’ at Knettishall Heath. He carried on for more than 24 hours covering an amazing 117.6 miles for 5th overall out of the 51 entrants.
Sarah Kimberley, despite a calf problem, ran the 2 Castles 10k in Leamington Spa in 60:32. At Old Buckenham Charlotte Dixon ran a 10k there in 1:12:25.
On Sunday at Southendin the half marathon Jean Streeter and Dave Dimech ran together with Jean producing an amazing result finishing 2nd F55 despite being 13 years over age in 1:49:27 with Dave a second behind.
The biggest contingent were at the RAF Marham 10k and Duathlon on Sunday.
It was a great day for the Franklins with Steve running a PB in the 10k with 39:29 and finishing 4th overall and Louise finishing 2nd female in the duathlon with 1:32.
It was also a successful day for the Renegade ‘rockets’ with Tiegan Moore, aged 14, finishing 5th female in 50:52 and 8 year-old Thomas Elsdon running his first 10k in 50:50.
Paul Carter was first Renegade home in the duathlon with 1:26 for 11th overall.
Other Renegade results: 10k – Joseph Pembery 15th 45:03, Bernie Lee 45:32 pb in 17th, Andy Doyle 18th 45:56, 25th Jud Gray 48:40, 27th George Munson 49:57, 35th Shelley Yeaman 51:20, 38th Harvey Gray 51:35, 44th Alan Dix 53:39, 47th Gavin Pollard 56:21 PB, 48th Leo Munson 57:04, 57th Suzanne Pembery 59:48, 65th Lisa Lee 1:06:30 and 67th Kerrie Taylor 1:07:39 out of the 69 finishers.
Duathlon: Mike Pembery 16th in 1:30, 25th Steve Mickleburgh 1:36 28th Dan Price 1:37 29th Mark Southwood 1:42 (31 finishers).
