LEARN MOREThree venues in the town will be having a pirate themed night next Friday (July 8).
A folk-punk band Jolly Roger will be playing at the White Hart in St James Street, with free entry and pirate fancy dress encouraged.
Starting at 9pm the group hailing from Cornwall and friend-of-the-band Martin Loweth, who moved from the Cornish coast to Downham said: "Jolly Roger are an up and coming pirate folk band that are incredibly active on the live music scene and have recently played the likes of Glastonbury and Bearded Theory as well as many other festivals and stand-alone gigs.
"The band asked if I could arrange somewhere to eat before the gig and I went to see Liquor and Loaded and then got talking to the Rusty Krab rum bar, things then kinda went up a notch or two and now these two venues are running a pirate themed night on Friday, July 8 to coincide with Jolly Roger playing at the White Hart that evening.
"Jolly Roger will be visiting both the Rusty Krab and Liquor and Loaded before their gig in the White Hart."
