King's Lynn under Siege is returning to North Lynn site this month
An archaeology project is returning to town - and a call has been issued for volunteers.
The Lynn under Siege community archaeology project will return between July 14 and 19 for a further week of exploring this fascinating site in North Lynn.
Objectives for this year include uncovering further traces of the earthwork defences, and investigating the site of an 18th-century brick-kiln.
Formed in 2018, Lynn under Siege (KLuS) has been researching the town during the conflict, and since staring in the Great British Dig in 2021, has been investigating the site of part of the town’s defences in North Lynn.
Participation is open to anyone, regardless of experience.
