Swaffham Assembly Rooms talk with Jill Dawson, author of books about Patricia Highsmith and the murder of Lord Lucan's nanny, to support King’s Lynn Night Shelter
Looking for the perfect Christmas gift for the reader in your life and help to support our local charity, the King’s Lynn Night Shelter?
On Sunday, March 5, 2023 (3pm) at the Swaffham Assembly Rooms is the opportunity to see the award-winning author, Jill Dawson, who will talk about her books and writing process, interviewed by celebrated author Guinevere Glasfurd.
This will be followed by a book signing and a full afternoon tea with Jill and Guinevere. Tickets for the event are just £20 each, which organisers say is "a great gift for couples, or a friend or relative and buy one for yourself too, only fair to enjoy the treat and it’s a great way of spending time together."
The full amount of the ticket price will go direct to the Night Shelter to assist with the vital work they do in the community.
Jill’s latest book is set in East Anglia, called The Bewitching and is based on the true story of a nine-year-old girl who accused her neighbour of being a witch and the consequences that followed.
Jill is the author of many books and tackles interesting topics and themes, such as The Crime Writer, about the author Patricia Highsmith and her time in Suffolk, and the murder of the nanny from the Lucan household in the 1970s told in The Language of Birds.
This is a perfect opportunity to buy an eco-friendly gift in the form of a great experience with a feel-good factor too. Book now to avoid disappointment as tickets are selling fast.
Tickets are available from Jo Marchant on 07810 521011.
