An award-winning Lynn seller of gentleman’s grooming products will be holding two events in December.

Captain Fawcett’s Emporium Ltd, a double winner at the 2019 Mayor's Business Awards, will be making merry at the very first Christmas Fayre to be hosted at its Friesian Way HQ, on Saturday, December 4, 10am-4.30pm.

Join the Captain in celebrating East Anglia’s spirit of creativity and invention. Browsing a makers’ market is surely the most pleasant of ways to hunt out delightful one-of-a-kind Christmas gifts whilst supporting local independent businesses.

From newcomers making their mark to familiar faces, the stalls at Captain Fawcett’s Christmas Fayre will offer eclectic, original items, abounding in personality.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the children’s charity, Make-A-Wish.

Secondly, Captain Fawcett’s Emporium will host irreverent internet sensation Thomas Benjamin Wilde Esq for a very special one-off winter show live on Saturday, December 11.

To celebrate the imminent release of his third album, Making Friends at 40, banjolele-playing, tweed-clad troubadour, will be playing fan-favourites and brand new humdingers against the truly extraordinary backdrop of Captain Fawcett’s 'Marvellous Barbershop Museum', surely one of the UK’s most unusual private collections, a tonsorial treasure trove celebrating centuries of craftsmanship, located at the Captain’s Emporium.

Thomas has been a wandering minstrel, delivering his most distinctive, racy brand of comical musical merriment in live performances across the UK since 2016.

His online videos go viral. In fact, the video for his X-rated, very sweary anthem I’ve No More ***** To Give went bonkers across social media sending his debut album to number three in the Billboard Comedy Album Chart and clocking up more than 10 million views on YouTube alone.

In 2020, he released the follow up A Quiet Night In, which features the delightfully naughty singles Pants Drunk And Smile And Nod (A Christmas Song), and his eagerly anticipated third album, Making Friends At 40 is set for release just before the Captain Fawcett show.

Thomas, who is a Brand Ambassador for Captain Fawcett, said: “I was looking for a way of doing a special collaboration with the lovely folks at Captain Fawcett for a while, and when considering venues for the album launch, I could not think of a more splendid location!”

Doors at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced £16 in advance and available through Seetickets.com
