Bands battle in solo/ duo Thornham final
Tomorrow (Saturday) Twisted Melon Battle Of The Bands heads to The Wildfowler on Gayton Road, Lynn, writes Triston Finnis.
This will be a massively diverse heat featuring acts from all across East Anglia. These Wildfowler heats are always really well attended so this will be a cracking event.
The acts performing are…
AFTER EFFECT
Ely-based grunge pop three-piece. They are Sam Greene, Neil Dodd and front man Drew Girling who is a former Twisted Melon BOTB winner.
FOREIGN BIER
A melodic skate punk trio from Norwich influenced by The Flatliners, The Menzingers, Alkaline Trio, NOFX, Iron Chic and Red City Radio.
KAVES
Norwich-based indie four-piece born in 2017. They feature Caitlin Mates, Matt Dove, Mia Webster and Tim Frost.
RIDDLE
Singer/songwriter who is based in Lowestoft. A solo act who brings a full band performance to his live shows.
SOLO/DUO FINAL – THE YURT, THORNHAM
This will be an incredible free event on Sunday and weather permitting will be outside.
It all kicks off at 2pm and the acts battling it out for the main stage spot at this summer’s Festival Too are:
ADAM THOMAS
East Anglia solo act with a unique style incorporating percussion on the acoustic guitar whilst playing all live.
CHARLIE RUSSELL
Charlie is a solo artist from Lincolnshire. The singer/ songwriter has produced two albums, both available from iTunes and Amazon.
EMILY & JAMIE
Emily Blake and Jamie Addison are an acoustic duo and also part of 80’s cover band Neon. Jamie made the main final in 2012 and also last year’s acoustic final with Emily.
FIONA HARBER
Fusing pop and rock with funk and soul, a versatile performer who can tackle classics from the 50s and modern day tunes.
LILY-ANN
Hailing from Norwich, Lily-Ann was runner-up in last year’s BOTB with her band The Visitors.
MAISIE MAE
A 14 year-old singer/songwriter from Lynn, Maisie was a regional finalist and showcase winner of Open Mic UK.
SIMON BENEFER
Multi-instrumentalist from Lynn; holds the record of most Festival Too performances with various bands.
