One of Europe’s top professional banjo players is making a special guest appearance at the Golden Age Fair in Walsoken.
Sean Moyses, the “Banjo Man”, will be performing from 1.30-2.30pm at the fair in Walsoken Village Hall next Tuesday.
A Wisbech man, Sean has taken his music all over the UK and Europe, as well as to the United States, Russia and Japan. Described as “original, quirky and engaging”, he promises world-class musicianship and easygoing entertainment.
Mike Cornwell, Fenland Council’s cabinet member responsible for Golden Age, said: “These events are primarily aimed at the over-60s but we’re very keen to encourage younger people along, too.”
Organised in conjunction with Wisbech Town Council, the fair runs from 12.30pm-4.30pm. There will be free electric blankets and 30-minute chair-based exercise sessions on offer.
