BBC TV Apple Tree Yard and Platform Seven author Louise Doughty visits Titchwell Briarfields Hotel

Booklovers gathered at Briarfields Hotel in Titchwell on Sunday, October 16, when renowned author, Louise Doughty, gave an insight and answered questions about her latest novel, “Platform Seven”.

British writer of fiction books since 1995, Louise’s 2013 bestseller novel Apple Tree Yard was adapted into a highly successful TV series.

Her latest novel, “Platform Seven” (2019), is currently being adapted as a four-part drama. Louise is the author of nine novels and five plays for radio.

Before enjoying Posh Afternoon Tea, Louise talked to the audience about her writing career and latest book, “Platform Seven”. The novel is a worryingly believable story of emotional abuse and coercive control which is desperately moving. After the talk the audience enjoyed asking questions directly to the author, and having their copy of the book signed by Louise.
