Norfolk artist Brian Banks will be remembered in a special exhibition of his work at Greyfriars Art Space in Lynn.

Mr Banks, from Hillington, studied at St Martin’s School of Art in London during the 1950s and was exhibited widely, with solo shows in London and Paris; he was also a member of Greyfriars Art Space before his death in 2011.

This new exhibition of his work is titled “Cities and Landscapes”, focusing on scenes in European cities together with some of his smaller landscapes.

One of the paintings on display will be raffled during the exhibition to raise money for Norfolk Hospice Tapping House.

There is a preview on Saturday, from 12 noon to 4pm, or you can visit the gallery in St James Street, which is open between 10am and 4pm Monday to Saturday, with the exhibition continuing through to March 18.
