Buddy heads up new Corn Exchange season




Spring is on its way and so are some fabulous shows coming to the Alive Lynn Corn Exchange over this coming season.

The cover picture of the Corn Exchange’s brochure this season is from the sensational award-winning West End show Buddy (Thursday, June 11 – Saturday, June 13), the musical about Buddy Holly’s story including all his fantastic hits.

Other live acts from around the same era and same genre of music as Buddy are Bye Bye Baby – Jersey Boys and music from Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons (Friday, March 20), Chicago Blues Brothers (Sat, April 4), That’ll Be The Day (Sunday, Apr 19), Bringing on Back The 60s (Sun, Apr 26), The Beach Boys – Smile (Thu, May 14), The Illegal Eagles (Sat, May 23), The Drifters (Thu, Jun 4), Walk Right Back (Tuesday, Jun 16) and The Roy Orbison Story (Sat, Jun 20).

The Corn Exchange is very pleased to welcome a fabulous new show coming here called Viva La Divas featuring three of Strictly Come Dancing stars Katya, Nadiya and Janette (Fri, Jun 26).

The Russian State Opera brings Aida (Fri, Mar 13) to King’s Lynn, and Ellen Kent Operas return with Madama Butterfly (Tue, Mar 31) & La Boheme (Tue, Apr 21).

The wonderful Ballet Cymru brings Giselle (Tue, May 26), Flawless are back with their world tour show Chase the Dream (Fri, Jun 5), Rhythm of the Dance (Wed, Jul 1), another popular dance act especially with the ladies is The Dreamboys (Sat, May 16), for a different girls night out filled with entertainment is Menopause the Musical 2 (Sat, Apr 18), and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (Thu, Apr 30).

For a fun night and some dancing to 90’s Brit-pop classics with Supersonic 90’s Night (Fri, May 22) and Boogie Wonderland – Experience the best disco party ever! (Sat, May 30).

Other shows include Neil Sands’ wonderful cast with Land Of Hope & Glory (Mon, Mar 30), some family friendly shows coming include The Wizard Of Oz starring comedy legend Bobby Davro (Sun, Apr 5), for some girlie time with songs from Little Mix, Taylor Swift, Ariana, etc, come along to Pop Divas Live! (Tue, Apr 7).

Milkshake! Live returns during the May break (Sun, May 31), and there are two Sing-a-long-a shows coming The Greatest Showman and Bohemian Rhapsody (Sun, Jun 7). An Audience with Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham as seen on SAS Who Dares Wins (Fri, May 29)

Comedy acts include Andy Parsons (Sun 22 Mar) Milton Jones (Wed 8 Apr), Mark Steel (Wed 15 Apr) & Joel Dommett (Tue 5 May). Already SOLD OUT comedy for this season are Jim Davidson and Josh Widdicombe!

Other sold out shows include What’s Love Got To Do With It, Spirit Of The Dance, Joe Brown, and the Corn Exchange has the last few seats available for Killer Queen (Fri 17 Apr).

If you want to see future stars of comedy the King’s Lynn Corn Exchange Comedy Clubs (Thursdays unless stated) on Mar 19, Wed, Apr 22, May 21, Jun 25 and Jul 16 showcase four rising stars from the touring circuit in a relaxed cabaret setting.

The Corn Exchange has been closed since the beginning of January, for renovations of the new cinemas. It opens again on Thursday, March 5 for the show Sweet Caroline.

The box office will be open 1 hour before each performance above. Otherwise it will still be located at the Guildhall for customers to purchase and pick up tickets and for inquiries during the day from 9am-3pm.
