Shakespeare’s Guildhall Trust King's Lynn meeting in St George’s Guildhall where DVD of play about Robert Armin and The Bard will be shown on January 22




The trustees of Shakespeare’s Guildhall Trust invite all their supporters to attend a meeting on Sunday, January 22 at 12.30pm in St George’s Guildhall.

This will be an opportunity to see the newly created DVD film of “The Play’s the Thing” – an SGT-commissioned play about Robert Armin and William Shakespeare in Lynn.

The Trust stated: “The play was written and performed by Time Will Tell Theatre Company at St George’s Guildhall in front of nearly 1,000 school students in September 2022.

“It is a proud example of the achievement of SGT over the past four years.

“There will also be an opportunity to hear how SGT will be allocating its funds to further the development of its charitable aims, even after its closure.

“The meeting will end with a Q&A session where there will be adequate opportunity for supporters to raise any appropriate points.”

The agenda and approximate timings will be as follow: 12.30pm, introduction; 12.40pm, world premiere screening of ‘The Play’s the Thing’; 1.20pm, update on the closure of SGT and launch of SGT Fund; 1.40pm to 2.30pm, questions and answers.

All supporters of SGT are welcome to attend free of charge and non-members will also be very welcome.

At 3pm, the King’s Lynn Community Cinema Club will be holding a Bollywood-themed afternoon, including a screening of Monsoon Wedding in the Guildhall, followed by an Indian buffet meal provided by Coriander & Lime at Ferry Lane Social Club.
