Holkham Hall invites people to visit its walled gardens as part of National Garden Scheme this September
You can enjoy a special mid-week evening visit to a country estate with its head gardener at its “spectacular” walled garden.
Holkham Hall is opening for the public to visit its walled gardens on Wednesday, September 4 from 6pm-8pm as part of the National Garden Scheme.
People will be able to meet with the head gardener and his team, who will be on hand to discuss and answer any questions about the garden.
The 18th century walled garden is around six and a half acres divided into six areas which include an ornamental area, an exotic area, a kitchen, a cutting flower glasshouse, and a vineyard.
The garden has benefitted from the recent restoration of glasshouses and the Samuel Wyatt Vinery as well as a newly-planted maze and plenty of autumn colour.
Admission is £22 each and children can enter for free.
Pre-booking is essential and there will be wine available as well as wheelchair access.
Dogs are allowed at this event.
