King’s Lynn music event will raise funds for charity and medical equipment for Queen Elizabeth Hospital
A fundraiser is holding a music event to raise money for charity.
Gerry Ryan, 64 who lives in Emneth is raising funds for Asthma and Lung UK and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital respiratory unit.
The free entry music event called the Diamond Motown, Show, at the Workers Club, Church Street, Lynn on Sunday, June 25, 3pm, will feature Mr Ryan singing and entertaining.
Following his own diagnosis of stage four emphysema three years ago, Mr Ryan aims to raise funds for those that have helped him.
He said: “The show consists of covering music of Neil Diamond, reggae, soul, ska, Motown and I try to cover as many genres as I can .
“I am doing the show to raise money and there will be a raffle on the day.”
“I used to raise the money and give it all to Asthma and Lung UK and my wife came up with the idea to help at
the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.”
Money raised will enable Mr Ryan to donate nebuliser machines to the QEH.
