Christmas carols to return to Mintlyn Crematorium near King’s Lynn raising money for Tapping House and mayor’s charities
A popular Christmas carol service returns to a crematorium in support of different charities.
Mintlyn Crematorium in Bawsey introduced this family-friendly carol service in 2018 and it has raised hundreds of pounds for charity. This year they will be supporting The Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House, as well as the mayor’s charities.
Guests will be invited to make a voluntary donation for a special message tag to place on the Christmas Tree of Memories.
The event is on Tuesday, December 10, and the chapel will open from 6.30pm with the service starting at 7pm led by Father Adrian Ling and civil celebrant Verne Lee.
Music will be provided by resident Mintlyn organist Jonathan Chaddock with Singers Inspired, a community choir from Downham.
Cllr Bal Anota, cabinet member for events and open spaces at the borough council, will be providing one of the readings and West Norfolk mayor, Cllr Paul Bland, will also be attending the service.
Mince pies, tea and coffee will be served after the service.
This is a free event for everyone to attend but, due to its popularity, a ticket will be required for entry, alternatively the service will be webcast for those unable to make it.
