King’s Lynn Community Cinema Club returns to Majestic Cinema with ‘Small Things Like These’

The second film of Lynn Community Cinema Club’s summer season is just days away.

On Thursday, June 12, at 7.30pm, there will be a screening of the film ‘Small Things Like These’ in Screen 2 at the Majestic Cinema.

Set in 1985, the film stars Cillian Murphy as Bill Furlong, a devoted father who discovers disturbing secrets kept by the local convent and uncovers shocking truths of his own with the school’s cook, who has lost a son in the Vietnam War.

The Irish Independent stated: “Without Murphy, Small Things Like These would still be a powerful film; with him, it’s a near-perfect one. Essential viewing. Five stars.”

For club members, there will be a pre-screening meal – details have been emailed directly to them.

The film is free to members; non-members can attend for £6 each – cash on the door.
